Elly started as an apprentice in catering when she was 16 at St. Mellion Golf Club in Cornwall. She then went on to work for the Tanner brothers before her first appointment in a Michelin-starred kitchen, The Elephant, in Torquay, under Simon Hulstone. She then joined Richard Davies at the Michelin-starred Manor House in Castle Combe in Wiltshire, where she gained a lot of experience and was promoted to chef de partie. Elly has been junior sous chef under Hywel Jones at the prestigious Lucknam Park since June 2015. She recently won a Royal Academy Award and was a Masterchef UK finalist in 2016. Only 24 now, Elly aspires to be head chef of her own restaurant before turning 30!
