Jason is the UK Managing Director for Hana Group, a global group of Japanese and Asian inspired food concepts set in retail environments in over seven countries.

Since 2016, Jason has looked after various Hana Group brands, including a dozen Genji operations in Whole Foods Market, as well as Wok Street Kitchen and Sushi & Robata restaurants, plus operations in the City of London with BaxterStorey.

Jason has spent a quarter of a century in the catering and leisure industry, from the start of his career in front of house roles, before donning his chef whites and starting a gruelling journey that led him to the helm of some of London’s most prestigious restaurants.

Following a long stint with the Roux Brothers, Jason joined other well-known names such as Roy Ackerman and Justin de Blank initially in his whites, before slowly moving to senior management roles with a repertoire of clients from music and film stars to royalty.

Over the last 30 years, Jason has worked in a number of director-level roles with leading brands including: Hey Group of Companies, The Garden Centre Group, Marks & Spencer, SFI Group (Slug & Lettuce, Ha Ha!, Havana), Spirit Group, Groupe Chez Gérard (Chez Gérard, Livebait, Bertorelli’s) and Pelican Group (Café Rouge, Dome, Dragon Inns, Mama Amalfi).
