Monserrat is the Manager of the Chilean Citrus Committee, the entity that forms part of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX) and whose members represent 78% of the total volume of citrus exported from Chile to the world.

Monserrat has an agronomical engineering degree from the Catholic University of Chile and began her career as an independent consultant.

Later, Monserrat joined ASOEX to work as Marketing Coordinator and after that she was made responsible for the Chilean Citrus Committee, where she has contributed towards consolidating the position of Chile as a preferred supplier of citrus from the Southern Hemisphere.
