Tom is Business Development Manager at Chop’d, which he joined 12 years ago. He began his career with the UK salad bar chain by working as a kitchen porter in the company’s Canary Wharf site in London.
Rapidly working his way up the business, he completed the Chop’d training programme within eight months and became manager of the third Chop’d store in Green Park when it launched. Tom went on to manage numerous other Chop’d stores and new openings for several years before becoming part of the head office team in 2016 as Business Development Manager.
Tom now manages menu development and new product launches for Chop’d, as well as the sourcing of new ingredients and suppliers. He also heads up branding, seasonal marketing and social media.
Tom says learning from the bottom up has given him a deep understanding of the business and helped him to develop considerably in his role over the years. Tom loves working with food and is constantly looking for ways to improve the offer at Chop’d.
