Tim Heddema is the Agricultural Counsellor (Head of the Agricultural Department) at the Embassy of the Netherlands in the United Kingdom.
Before arriving in London in March 2017, Tim served as the Attaché for agriculture and fisheries at the Dutch Permanent Representation in Brussels for three-and-a-half years.
He has worked in the field of agriculture and fisheries throughout his Dutch civil service career, which began in 2005; holding various positions in international affairs and strategy at the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Among other things, Tim coordinated the Dutch positions in the EU Council of Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers, and bilateral cooperation with a range of countries, including: Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. Tim holds a Masters degree in business economics.
